Privacy policy

In short

This site sets no advertising cookies and builds no user profiles. A measurement script from our partner GetYourGuide is loaded only after you have explicitly agreed. If you decline, the site keeps working in full – every booking link stays functional.

Hosting

The site is delivered from our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany, with Cloudflare, Inc. in front of it as a content delivery network and for certificates. When you open a page, the server stores technical access data (IP address, time of request, browser and operating system, referring page) in order to deliver the site securely and detect attacks (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). Because Cloudflare is a US company, a transfer of data to the USA can occur; Cloudflare relies on EU standard contractual clauses. Logs are deleted automatically after a short period.

Consent and measurement

We embed a measurement script from GetYourGuide that records which offers are clicked. It assigns a visitor identifier for this purpose. This script is loaded only after you have agreed via the notice banner (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR).

Your decision is stored in your browser's local storage under the key `mauritius-consent-2`. No data is transmitted to us in the process.

You can withdraw your consent at any time via "Change tracking settings" in the footer.

Affiliate links

Our booking buttons lead to GetYourGuide, and our car hire links to Discover Cars. Each link carries a partner identifier so the partner can attribute a booking to us and pay a commission. When you follow such a link, that partner sets its own cookies and processes your data under its own privacy policy – we have no access to your booking data, your name or your payment details. A link alone stores nothing; processing begins only when you click.

Flyer origin

If you reach this site through a QR code on a printed flyer, the address contains a number (for example `?f=3`). It tells us which flyer led to a booking.

Without your consent we keep it only for the duration of your visit, in your browser session storage – it is gone once you close the browser. If you agreed in the notice banner, we additionally store it in local storage so the attribution still works if you book later. Withdrawing consent deletes the entry.

In neither case is a cookie created, and the number does not identify you personally.

Your rights
